Dear LiveJournal,

Here is this year's Christmas wishlist! Truthfully, I dreaded doing it this time around; regardless of the fact, I still managed to make a pretty lengthy one. The upper part is what I would call a "realistic wishlist" while the lower part is what I would label as an "actual" wishlist because it really is just wishful thinking; I don't expect anyone to get the more expensive items below. And if someone does, well.. don't complain and whine to me if I eventually end up finding something you want that just happens to be more expensive than what you gave me. That's what you get tehe. Happy holidays everyone! (List isn't in any particular order.)

Priceless gifts:
  • A relatively smooth sailing through my college experience/medical school--great grades, good health, strong support system, happy family, etc.
  • Motivation/determination/support from my friends to go on a healthy diet, to do daily exercise, to remind me to stop procrastinating, etc.
  • A job closer to school that pays more in cash..
  • To see Demi Lovato in person or at one of her concerts
  • To see Kobe Bryant in person someday around UCI/the ARC..!
  • (Somehow find where my Blackberry phone is right now and bring it to me.. D':)
  • (Make my dog younger so she won't ever leave me..)
  • A hand-made card or a card/piece of paper with lots and lots of writing! A drawing, a picture or photo, a poem, something artistic and creative. Serenade and play an instrument for me. Give me a big hug!
  • Cosmopolitan magazines, I don't care if it's new or old
  • Illegal copy of Sonny with a Chance volume 1 DVDs/Who's Line Is It Anyway DVDs
Realistic Wishlist:
  • Gift cards to F21, AE, Target/Walmart, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Tapioca Express/Teazone
  • Twilight movie calendar or New Moon movie calendar
**Hint: hover your mouse over the first few words of each bullet to find/click the link.

Literally, just a wish-list:
  • Billabong Hannah Jacket (Charcoal/small), $64 - the original (shown below) one, not the re-issued version!

**Please include receipt/gift receipt just in case I need to exchange for a different size, thanks!

Sincerely,
Tiffany D. Nguyen

Dear LiveJournal,

JUST EIGHT, EIGHT, EIGHT, 08, 08, 08, 8, 8, 8!!!!!!!!!!!

Just eight more freaking days until New Moon plays in theatres. I cannot wait any longer! And for sure, this week is going to go by slower than ever since there's this seven page essay due in Writing class. Moreover, there's a Biology quiz coming up on Monday. I'm hoping that after the quiz, I'll be able to swim up to catch a breath of fresh air. That's highly impossible though since we've only got, what, three more weeks left of this Fall quarter; and there are going to be more pop quizzes in Biology discussion, more weekly quizzes in Chemistry discussion, studying for finals, the Rhetorical Analysis essay and the Rhetoric-in-Practice project. I suppose going to the midnight premiere will be my desperate breath out of the water. It's going to be short, but believe me--it will be worth it/amazing/unforgettable. It's going to be a million times better than last year because this time it's going to be with a bunch of crazy people like me who are staying up late to watch it at that exact moment instead of two nights later! I pray to Buddha that Kathy and I will be able to think up of some master plan to persuade her mother to let Kathy stay over night in my dorm. Wish us luck, I think Kathy deserves to see the movie at midnight and to experience something this funtastic in her life (at least once). Oh and how can I forget that she deserves to see Taylor Lautner on the big screen before anyone else does? =)

Sincerely,
Tiffany D. Nguyen

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them. Disagree with them. Glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do."

latiffanyy: i think i can finally get it now..
latiffanyy: how you couldn't really let go of it, and how it hurt you, and you just didn't understand, and how you kept thinking maybe it is your fault
latiffanyy: i can't help thinking about it. and it hurts. i know i should get over it.. but seriously, we've been through so much with these people and for SO long
latiffanyy: then some stupid thing just happens, and we don't even really know what
latiffanyy: and WE have to live with it
latiffanyy: and they are like HAPPY to get rid of us or something? like they are unfazed by it
iluvpurplexhd: yeahh... but like think about it this way
iluvpurplexhd: people are just WEIRD
iluvpurplexhd: period
iluvpurplexhd: and like for you you put in all the effort you can to make things better and to help others and stuff
iluvpurplexhd: but if they keep giving you the cold shoulder... you're wasting your time
iluvpurplexhd: you can do other things
iluvpurplexhd: you know?
iluvpurplexhd: i mean yes they were there almost a whole chunk of your life
iluvpurplexhd: but sometimes you can't look back anymore
iluvpurplexhd: you just have to keep looking forward
iluvpurplexhd: and i mean the past is the past
iluvpurplexhd: nothing you can do
iluvpurplexhd: i mean they were great friends
iluvpurplexhd: and now they give you the cold shoulder
iluvpurplexhd: acting all weiiird on you
iluvpurplexhd: and like all that jazz, it's just not worth it
iluvpurplexhd: and i know it's SUPERRRR hard...
iluvpurplexhd: like you can't imagine what it'd be without them
iluvpurplexhd: and that you can't forget the things you've done with them
iluvpurplexhd: but life moves on
iluvpurplexhd: you have to move on
iluvpurplexhd: keep going ahead
iluvpurplexhd: what i did i tried to look for something to look forward to to move on...
iluvpurplexhd: (i couldn't find anything though)
iluvpurplexhd: but it took my mind off a lotta things
iluvpurplexhd: it's just the distance thing
latiffanyy: if it's distance.. then why do i feel at fault
latiffanyy: why do they seem to be blaming me?
latiffanyy: it can't be a coincidence kathy..
iluvpurplexhd: i mean it's hard to make time and stuff and spend quality time together
iluvpurplexhd: well you see because you're a victim, if feels like you're at fault
iluvpurplexhd: i mean if you were letting them go and they're trying to stay in your life, it'd feel like they're at fault
iluvpurplexhd: but you're the one trying to hang in there
iluvpurplexhd: so it's just natural to feel at fault
iluvpurplexhd: it'll just take time getting used to things
iluvpurplexhd: seriously, people come and go, but the BEST ONES are always there with you by your side no matter what and how old you are
latiffanyy: lmao
latiffanyy: you just had to bring up age huh?

Dear LiveJournal,

Today, I came across this:

“Be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi

Oh I will, believe me. I will change this. If I find an opportunity, I'll take it. Never will I let myself be directly responsible. I won't let kids live like this, I won't let other kids witness such tragedy. Not if I can help it.

Sincerely,
Tiffany D. Nguyen
